Alpaca Farm
Our Story
We love sharing our animals with the community. Here is just a little bit about us: Tom is a retired Air Force pilot who now flies commercially. Michelle is a retired pediatric oncology nurse. After many years of military life and travel, this small home on a scenic 5 acres felt like the perfect place to lay a foundation for our adult children to call home base. We moved into our new life as small-scale farmers in January 2020. After visiting an alpaca farm in Northern Idaho, we decided that alpacas would bring the balance of joy and purpose we were looking for outside of our careers. We bought our first 3 alpacas during the summer of 2020 and have continued to grow our herd. Alpacas born on our farm all have names that have something to do with aviation since flying has provided us with this opportunity. We have enough chickens and ducks to keep us stocked on eggs, and our garden provides us with lots of veggies. We are still learning a lot and we are enjoying the journey. We look forward to attending alpaca shows in the future, but are taking it one day at a time. Michelle is enjoying learning all the fiber arts and hopes to host classes on our farm someday. Meet a few alpacas from our herd by clicking on the “meet the alpacas” tab at the top of the home screen. Then, click on the picture of the alpaca you would like to learn more about.
